To paint or not to paint that is my dilemma!
Paints, not to start a flame war so please dont, but what is everyone's goto paint line? Just curious. I have been out of the painting game for years, ok decades really, and thinking of jumping back in and heavily into Army Painter. I am thinking of snagging the complete Speedpaint 2.0 set. That would be a healthy monetary investment, and that doest include the Fanatic range I am looking at. So, what's people's thoughts, opinions and experience?
Only opaque acrylic paints for me. Games Workshop or Humbrol or Revell as these are the eaisest for me to get hold of locally. I paint from dark to light over a black undercoat- I have 30 years invested in that method and I feel I am just getting somewhere. So to change my whole style of painting using thin washes over a white undercoat would not only be a huge upheaval it would cost me a lot to replace all my paints.
ReplyDeleteI also HATE the army painter shade idea. One of my mates does it "to get things on the table quicker". I look at his figures and I only see the brown. I don't see the pont of carefully using accurate colours for uniforms and then staining the whole thing brown.
